Should Ipods , Phones, and Electronic Devies Be Allowed In Class

I think that they should be allowed in class due to the growing advancements that are being made in technology. There are many things that phones and other electronic devices that can do much more than certain things that are given to you in class. For example, a calculator, a calculator can do a lot , but now phones and ipods now have many applications that will allow you to use a calculator that can be twice as helpful than a regular one that is given to you. Another example is the use of dictionaries. A lot of people use to carry dictionaries around, but now they are able to download simple apps that have dictionaries on them. This feature is good because now you don't have to carry around a large dictionary. A lot of these features will allow you to do a lot more things quicker, faster, and easier.

Emerging Technology

A new type of computer is now being created. This computer that was created by a company called Lenovo (IBM) can now read your eye movement through hidden cameras beneath the screen of the computer. These cameras can tell where you are looking on the screen and can be controlled using your eyes. This is supposed to make computer usage much quicker and easier than using a mouse and/or trackpads. This prototype is suppose to be very accurate. These computers are going to be expensive, so the company must sell these units at a high volume in order for the computers to be affordable for the consumer.
